L'eleganza senza tempo

Okay, imagine this:
It's summer, every excuse is good for a day trip or a few days of vacation. Italy is full of wonders.
Villages nestled among the hills, enchanting cities, mountains with sculpted peaks.
And then there's the sea, its coastal views or its turquoise coves.
I've always dreamed of living by the sea, working while driving through curves and blue landscapes, but even more so, sitting on a terrace and gazing into the distance.
There's one thing that strikes me the most about our coastline, especially certain corners, and that is the uniquely Italian ability to blend the colors of the land with those of architecture.
One example stands out above all?
PORTOFINO.

Certainly, it's not a destination for everyone. Some of us can perhaps afford a day trip, but it is undoubtedly, as we know, a place of luxury. But we'll come back to that later.
Let's imagine it wrapped in its vintage, timeless, and incredibly elegant atmosphere.
The beach with orange and aqua green cotton umbrellas, a Fiat 500 slowly cruising along the plastered facades, a bit weathered by the sun, still vibrant, but with a liveliness that never intrudes on the overall context.

The Italian summer, its beauty, is not just about the landscapes, but certainly also about the way of life of our people.
Homemade granitas, refreshing ice pops, dipping your feet in the water and not thinking about anything.
A ride on a Vespa, getting lost in the narrow alleys with a pair of flip-flops and a straw bag.
Portofino encompasses all of this.
Its palette is incredibly sophisticated: earth tones blend with those of the sky, the water, the reflection of the hills, and the boats suspended floating.

And it is precisely within these color palettes that we can find inspiration, from the slightly faded lime of the buildings to veils of color that hide the beauty of simplicity. Natural linens, soft hues. Nothing is excessive, everything is balanced.
Sophisticated and simple, elegant without embellishments.
It is precisely in this that the essence lies.

And it is thanks to these inspirations that this month we propose combinations that are halfway between absolute lightness and a touch of craving for details.

How? By introducing something unique to the elements already mentioned, once again an entirely Italian artisanal product: blown glass. Its transparency recalls the sea, with tones of blue, orange, and green. It strikes the perfect balance between sobriety and refinement.

The pairing is with the Coud and Asia rugs, combining a solid color with a marbled pattern.

And now, two possibilities with the same rug combo: a beige base+orange+ a hint of blue, green, and powder?

Alternatively, a blue base with small accents of warm colors?

We will see how this challenge goes, but in the meantime, I can only wish you a fantastic summer, as they say: WELCOME SUMMER.
