LIMITED EDITION 2022
The new limited edition collection by Sit-In: three abstract patterns, transcendent spaces and graphics inspired by illustration in various sizes and shapes.
The collection, presented on the occasion of the 60th edition of the Salone del Mobile, cites art and design to delineate the most up-to-date interiors in a line that combines artisan culture with the specificities of the industrial world.
Quaderna I
This rug is characterised by its strong graphic impact inspired by Japanese rigour, with a butter base and optical black lines.
Corallo
An abstract landscape in Prussian blue on a butter base, hand-drawn during prototyping, leaf by leaf. The pattern is repeated, but the effect is that of a seamless illustration.
Macchia Linee
A contemporary Zen garden, marked by harmonious paths and undulating patterns. An oasis of peace and transcendence in sand colour on an ice base.
Sustainability
The Salone del Mobile, a global standard for the furniture and design industry, was the perfect venue for showcasing a product line with a primary focus on sustainability, which was also the main theme of the Milan fair this year. The entire collection is made from recycled nylon yarn made from fishing nets and textile scraps that were going to be thrown in the trash. But the fabric also contains natural fillers that make recycling easier and enable full recyclability, as demonstrated by the CSI Recycable Plastic certification, which further contributes to the product's sustainability.
Safety
All limited edition rugs are treated with Virex, an innovative treatment designed to reduce the viral load and act as an antibacterial directly on the fibre, resisting washing and being long-lasting. Virex reduces the viral load by 99.9% for natural fibres and 99.4% for synthetic fibres and, thanks to its antibacterial action and its oil-repellent component, allows for a more hygienic and clean product while maintaining all the technical and comfortable characteristics of the rug. The result of this process is a design product that is also a solid and safe asset that lasts over time and does not have to be replaced after a few years, generating new emissions.
